Parent-hosted parties are fun way to support our school. Parent-hosts donate parties and Raise the Sails guests sign up to attend the parties by buying tickets. All proceeds from the ticket sales go directly to the school through Friends of Amundsen. It's great way to support our school while having fantastic time getting to know our community.
Here's how it works:
1. Determine the type of you would like to and choose who is eligible to attend. Past parties have included everything from themed dinners hosted in parents' homes to comedy nights at a local theater. Parties can be for parents, moms-only, dads-only, teenagers or parent/teenagers. Depending on the size of your proposed party, it might be best to partner with other Amundsen friends/families as co-hosts. Co-hosts share the cost of hosting, help with planning, create buzz about the beforehand and promote your event at Raise the Sails.
2. Select location and date for the . Parties can be hosted at location that suits your theme - your home, backyard or deck, restaurant, spa, etc. They can be scheduled anytime from the week after Raise the Sails until November 2025.
3. Submit your prospective party below. Once you've decided on your theme, the committee will work with you to coordinate date to avoid overlap with other parties. The committee will also help you coordinate details like the size of your and the price per attendee.
